CT: Libertarian Candidate for Congress Calls for Audit of Sec. of the State

From the Norwich Bulletin:
The Libertarian Party candidate for Congress in the 2nd Congressional District is calling for an “audit” of the Secretary of the State’s office after he was denied ballot for the Nov. 2 election.

Dan Reale of Plainfield said earlier this week that he would file a lawsuit in Hartford Superior Court, claiming the Secretary of the State had confirmed his ballot access but then denied it.

Av Harris, spokesman for Secretary Susan Bysiewicz, said Reale was never considered on the ballot although the office listed him on its website. Reale only collected 90 signatures of the 3,200 he needed, Harris said. Reale disputes this, adding that the office didn’t give him enough time to correct problems with his signature submission.
