California AIP Chairman condemns Prop 8 ruling
![]() |
| Jim King |
"The foundation of civilization as recognized by 2,000 years of history is the family unit composed of a man and woman united in marriage. This fundamental unit of our culture, society, and nation allows for the nurturing, protection, and development of children to their greatest potential."
"The institution of marriage between a man and a woman is hence the crucial and essential element for the protection of the children of our nation and therefore of the very future of our nation. No nation in history has survived the promotion of homosexuality within it and hence to promote homosexual marriage is thus a grave threat to the children of our nation and to our nations future..."Click here to read more.

CA: Anti-Illegal Immigration Group Names Chelene Nightingale "True Reformer"
From PRLog:
Already touted as being the "wildcard" in California's Gubernatorial sweepstakes in November, the darling of the Tea Party movement, Chelene Nightingale, received another boost today, when it was announced that she has swept the field of California Governor candidates in the survey conducted by "NUMBERSUSA," America's premier organization opposing illegal immigration, amnesty and open border policies, earning her the coveted designation as "True Reformer." Several of the positions of both Meg Whitman and Steve Poizner, each often touted by their own campaigns as being "tough on immigration," were labeled to be "unknown" or "uncertain" by NUMBERSUSA.

NV: Independent American Party to Sue Tea Party Candidate for US Senate
From Expose Harry:
The conservative Independent American Party’s U.S. Senate candidate sued today to remove a fellow U.S. Senate candidate running under the Tea Party of Nevada from the ballot. Tim Fasano, of Fernley, filed the lawsuit in Carson City District Court, arguing that Tea Party of Nevada candidate Jon Scott Ashjian should be removed from November’s ballot because he failed to change his party affiliation until after he filed for office.

CA: The AIP vs. the "Big Box" Parties
From the American Free Press:
Chelene Nightingale is not a household name in every corner of America; but this American Independent Party (AIP) gubernatorial candidate is making tremors in the key state of California, as various candidates across the country with messages contrary to mainstream Democrats and Republicans make inroads. . . . Ms. Nightingale is running outside the two-party system itself, under the banner of the AIP, which is California’s Constitution Party sub-affiliate. She has scant AIP competition in the June 8 primary and expects to campaign all year long until the November general election, unlike Medina, who chose to stay in the hostile GOP machine and got knocked out early.
Notably, Ms. Nightingale is seen in her economically strangled state as having a reasonable chance against well-financed candidates from the two “big box” political parties. Nightingale’s campaign manager, John Baldwin, told AMERICAN FREE PRESS March 8 that in comparing web traffic, her campaign has been edging out Republican-endorsed candidate Steve Poizner. This is notable since Poizner has spent $20 million while Nightingale operates on minimal funding.
