The Libertarian Party of Georgia renews its call for passage of Senate Bill 1, the Budget Act, which would require appropriators to review a quarter of the state budget every year to remove waste and ineffective programs (also know as zero-based budgeting). This much needed legislation unanimously passed the State Senate last year and is now stalled in the House Committee on Budget and Fiscal Affairs Oversight.
