MI: Schwarz to Run for Governor as Independent

After weeks of speculation, former Republican congressman Joe Schwarz said Wednesday he is going to try for an independent run at the governor's office.  Schwarz said he plans in coming days to register an exploratory committee for a campaign, which will allow him to raise money for his candidacy.
