MI: Tea Party Candidate for Congress Questions Raid on Hutaree Militia

From That's My Congress:
Scott Aughney is running as an independent candidate aligned with the Tea Party for the seat in Congress representing the 7th district in the U.S. House of Representatives. That seat, where most of the Michigan Hutaree lived, is currently held by Mark Schauer, and although Schauer has not made any comment about the Hutaree arrests, Aughney has made the following statement:

“I believe the actions taken by the F.B.I. and Homeland Security were an attempt by the Obama administration to send a message. The timing of the raid, seven days following the passage of an arguably unconstitutional Health Care Reform package, suggests a larger political motive to this action and similar ones in Ohio and Indiana."
