FL: Tea Party Candidate for Congress to Host Booth at Local Festival

A press release from the Florida Tea Party, sent via email:
The TEA Party and the Peg Dunmire for United States Congress (TEA-Orlando) will be hosting a booth at the Zellwood Sweet Corn Festival in Apopka, Florida.  The booth will be manned by dozens of TEA Party volunteers and candidate Peg Dunmire will be there to meet and greet the voters.

Dunmire, 62, the first TEA Party nominee in Florida is the only candidate currently facing first term incumbent Congressman Alan Grayson in the November election.  The Republican primary – a hotly contested battle among seven contenders – will not select a nominee until August 24, 2010, a mere 10 weeks before the November election.

Dunmire has already gained significant traction in the battle against Grayson and together with the TEA Party, has raised more than most candidates that are running in the GOP primary.
To date, the TEA PARTY and the Dunmire campaign have raised over $150,000. That total includes both in-kind and cash donations.   Over 250 individuals have contributed to the TEA PARTY, with over half of those donors in April and May (not included in the report ending March 31, 2010).

"We're definitely picking up steam," stated TEA PARTY Chairman Frederic O'Neal.
We have not been concentrating on fundraising yet, but the response has been very positive," O'Neal concluded

Some notable TEA PARTY contributors include: Larry Guest (former Sentinel columnist): The Honorable Frank Messersmith (former Republican State House Leader); Richard Lee (son of the legendary milk dairy farm owner-TG Lee); The Honorable Rod Reynolds (former Winter Garden City Commissioner); The Honorable Carol Nichols (former Winter Garden City Commissioner) and Charles Klein, the former State Chairman of the Veterans Party (Florida).

The TEA PARTY is an official political party in the State of Florida and is authorized by the Secretary of State to file TEA PARTY candidates in the November 2010 general election.  The official ballot designation is TEA which will follow the name of each TEA candidate.  The Florida TEA PARTY is the first in the nation to obtain new party status.
The TEA Party has three (3) United States Congressional candidates qualified for the November ballot in three Florida districts.

Funny how Doug Guetzloe, one of the original tea party name hijackers accepted $3000 from Al Grayson for advertising. Seems like a real cozy arrangement. This Florida Tea Party political group is to say the very least sleazy and dishonorable and this has rubbed off on Dunmire. It seems, sinse she haan't a chance at winning, her main objective is to stop anyone else from beating Grayson. She's a true RHINO and spoiler. Hope she gets a job from Grayson after all her efforts.
