ID: Kemp Says Republicans and Democrats are "Long on Talk and Short on Action"

From the Idaho Statesman:

Independent gubernatorial candidate Jana Kemp says GOP Gov. Butch Otter and Democratic nominee Keith Allred are long on talk and short on action. Kemp, a former GOP lawmaker from Garden City, runs Meeting & Management Essentials, which advises organizations on improving productivity, morale and profit in their day-to-day business meetings.
Kemp has submitted an essay to Idaho media titled, "Ideas, Ivory Towers or Action for Idaho?  It follows, in full:

The Founding Fathers of the United States of America not only had ideas and educated opinions to draw upon to form this country, they took ACTION to form and provide the guiding principles for our great country.
In 2010 Idaho, the incumbent Republican Governor said in his State of the State address that “Idahoans are as independent as ever;” the First Lady said “Anything a boy can do, a girl can do better;” and the Democrat U.S. President said in his State of the Union speech “Lobbyists should not be at the policy making table,” ruling out the Idaho Democrat’s choice for their 2010 candidate for Governor.
The clamor of ideas and opinions from within the Republican Party seems loud, yet where’s the action? The outpouring of academic ideas from the Democrat Party candidate seems plentiful, yet where’s the action?
As an action-oriented person and an Independent candidate for Governor, my platform includes:
Being tough on illegal immigration
Eliminating budget items that are not the function of government
Supporting education, job creation, energy innovations, and gun rights
Getting rid of the “governor’s mansion.”
Proof of my words and ideas in ACTION includes:
17 years of business ownership
Elected service in the Idaho House of Representatives 2004-2006
Founding and co-chairing the Idaho Film Industry Task Force to create jobs in Idaho.
Standing up for public discussion of employment issues during legislative hearings.
Recommending $25 million in savings in the Department of Health and Welfare budget.
Community service and volunteerism for three decades.
Participation in public events such as parades and fairs statewide, to HEAR what voters have to say!
Idaho needs Action! If you want action and results, vote Jana Kemp.
Ideas, Ivory Towers or Action for Idaho? You choose!
