Democrats lost their bid to keep the Texas Green Party off the fall ballot. So while the lawsuit goes on in district court to get to the bottom of who bankrolled a GOP-backed petition drive for the Greens, Democrats are trying to shame Green Party candidates into quitting the race - even if they don't have to. In a new online appeal, Texas Democratic Chairman Boyd Richie asks party loyalists to email the Green Party's statewide nominees asking that they "do the honorable thing and withdraw from the November ballot." The appeal includes email links for people to message each statewide nominee.Dear Texas Democrats: Take your own advice, do the honorable thing, withdraw from the November ballot.

Dear Texas Democrats: go fuck yourselves.
The right to petition is supposedly guaranteed in the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights. The Democrats are trying to make the use of First Amendment rights to be some sort of crime. Then we will have no rights at all. This has Karl Rove's fingerprints all over it. Why are Democrats taking orders from Karl (as Molly Ivins said, "Karl mit ein K")?
Glad to hear that the Dems are scared. With most of the Dems who are now in power clearly reacting to the DLC centrist string pullers, and to the Far Right, while ignoring us progressives, the Third Party movement will be growing, while the Dems lose out.
