FL-8: Grayson Refuses to Debate Unless All Candidates are Included in any Forum, TEA Party Candidate Dunmire Profiled

From Ocala.com:

Grayson, the freshman incumbent, has declined to debate his chief rival, Orlando Republican and former state lawmaker Daniel Webster, unless the debate includes the other three candidates in what could be the most closely watched election in the country.

While it remains to be seen how that plays out, here’s a look at those others in the District 8 race.

For all the momentum the Tea Party activists appear to have in Republican political circles, Peg Dunmire of Orlando is an actual candidate from the Florida TEA Party — which, state records show, has 333 members across Florida, including seven in Marion County.

Anytime Dunmire and the Florida TEA Party is mentioned it should be pointed out that Dunmire and her cohorts hijacked the name, it has NOTHING to do with the tea party movement. This fringe group of politicians only pays lip service to the values of the tea party. It's a proven fact that Progressive Socialist Alan Grayson is one of there biggest financial supporters. This is a fake third party set up to take votes away from a conservative and reelect Socialist Grayson.

I smell a rat! Grayson never does anything unless there is something in it for him. He has a vested interest in having others there at the debate. Why?

I am guessing to take the heat off of him. So we need to turn it up.

Wake up Dist. 8! Peg Dunmire is a "Progressive" in Tea Party clothing. We don't have to take it any more - we do have to vote. Every Republican and Independant must vote. Be a part of making history - get involved and learn about each candidate. We have a responsibility to the generations to follow. This election is vitally important!!

Another Grayson trick. Instead of being willing to debate the issues with the only serious candidate for his seat, Grayson wants to pile on other non-viable candidates to confuse and split the vote. Florida voters, beware! Don't elect this leftist again. Look closely at Daniel Webster's sterling credentials and vote for him, getting rid of Grayson forever!

Alan Grayson is a wiley as a fox so we should be asking why he won't debate the only other viable candidate, Republican Daniel Webster. It's because he wants to confuse everyone into thinking that Peg Dunmire represents the TEA party movement of FL Congressional District 8 and try to split the conservative vote, thereby guaranteeing his re-election to the House. It's time to clean the House of politicians like Alan Grayson and get this country back to work. This November voters have a choice: vote for Grayson and more government control through increased taxes, regulations and bailouts ensuring a lower standard of living for us all, or vote for Webster and free enterprise where everyone has the potential to achieve the American Dream through hard work once again.

"Dunmire and her cohorts hijacked the name, it has NOTHING to do with the tea party movement."

LOL. As an independent, i.e. not beholden to either of the ruling parties and political class, Dunmire arguably represents the legacy of the Boston Tea Party more appropriately than the GOP hacks who have co-opted the tea party movement to ensure the reproduction of the ruling two-party state and duopoly system of government.

Self-described "tea party" groups who support either of the ruling parties make a mockery of the Boston Tea Party's legacy.

LOL. You gotta lay off the GOP Kool Aid Anonymous. You're sounding kind of bloated. A vote for a Republican or a Democrat is a vote for the tyranny of the Republican and Democratic parties. It is a vote against freedom, liberty and independence. Freedom and independence today begins with freedom and independence from the Democrat-Republican party government. If you're not independent, you're co-dependent.

If so-called "tea party" activists do nothing more than elect Republicans, then the so-called "tea party" has betrayed every principle from which it might draw its historical strength. A vote for a Republican or a Democrat is, quite literally, a vote for tyranny. It is a vote against liberty, freedom and independence. Your babbling, Anonymous, only proves the fact. Thank you.

btw, thanks for your most recent comment Anonymous. It is one of the most succinct demonstrations of the incoherency and absurdity of the nonsense that passes for political debate and discourse among Republicans and Democrats that I have seen for some time. I have devoted an entire post to it.

We have to get the info out to everyone that the Tea Party Political Party is not apart of the Tea Party movement!! It was started by a Democract, Fred O'Neal. Only here to confuss people and take away the conservative vote and then give the win back to the progressive democrats. Please do your homework. I know we aren't happy with all the Republican party things going on but we are here now to make a change. We Will Take Our Party BACK ! A vote for Dunmire is a vote for Grayson. Vote Webster in Nov.

LOL. Are you just parodying an establishmentarian duopolist ideologue? Or do you really believe the talking points relayed by the partisans of the major parties and the ruling political class? You have them down pat.

The Tea Party Movement has not formed a political party and will endorse or assist strong candidates of either party and possibly, on occassion, a third party candidate. The requirements are simple. To win an endorsement of the true Tea Party people one must be a true conservative. One must also hold beliefs in limited government, fiscal conservatism, free market solutions and adhering to the Constitution as it was written.
I have attended many local, statewide, and Washington D.C. tea parties and I have never once, not one time, heard any mention of a Tea Party Political Party. This is an attempt to undo all of the good our movement has done and to split the conservative vote. We must not be fooled !
