The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of (Party-List) Proportional Representation :Lessons from Britain’s 2009 European Elections!

I summarize a review of the use of PR in the UK in 2009 and point out how if 3-seated LR Hare and Alternative Vote (IRV) were used together to elect four M(E)Ps per mega-district then the goods would be retained while the bads would be significantly reduced.
