From axing economic development programs and entire state agencies, to capping bureaucrats’ pay at $100,000 per year, Warren Redlich is staking his long-shot gubernatorial campaign on a simple axiom: “Stop wasting money.”
Redlich, a registered Republican who has served on the town board here since 2007, is the Libertarian Party candidate for governor. He previously ran on the GOP line against then-Congressman Michael McNulty in 2004 and 2006.
"Republicans and Democrats, all they do is waste our money,” Redlich said. “[Saving money] would allow us to protect places we need to spend it like teachers and parks and not tax things we shouldn't be taxing like soda.”
