The Independent Party of Oregon today announced the names of 77 candidates seeking the party's nominations to run for seats in the Legislature. Among them are 39 Democrats, 32 Republicans, 5 Independents and a Libertarian. Of these, 60 already won their major party primaries; 36 are incumbent legislators. Under a new Oregon law, candidates can list up to two other parties besides their own on the ballot. For a complete list of candidates seeking the nomination, check the party's website.

OR: Democrats and Republicans Beg for Independent Party Endorsement
Last year, Oregon passed a law allowing for fusion voting. This year Democrats and Republicans have come begging for endorsements from the state's Independent Party. From Oregon Live:
